KICVentures and the Jamaican Embassy Event to Stimulate the Diaspora to Invest in Jamaica’s Healthcare -Keynote by Jamaican-Born Doctorpreneur and CEO Dr Kingsley R. Chin
BOSTON (PRWEB) MARCH 11, 2019
KICVentures announced that on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM, at the Hall of the Americas, Organization of American States (200 17th Street NW, Washington, DC 20006), Dr. Kingsley R. Chin will speak on the need for Jamaicans everywhere, but especially in the Diaspora, to seek out investment opportunities in improving Jamaica’s Healthcare. This event was the brainchild of Dr. Chin and the Ambassador of Jamaica to the USA, Her Excellency Audrey P. Marks -also a proven entrepreneur.
“I believe a healthy healthcare system will create a medical tourism destination market and attract the Jamaican Diaspora to retire in Jamaica. This will stimulate economic growth,” says Dr. Chin. “Our portfolio medical device companies have unique technologies that will attract patients from anywhere in the world to come to Jamaica for treatment if we have world-class hospitals. I am a Marcus Garveyite who shares the belief that self-reliance and economic empowerment are the keys for Jamaica to succeed. This will come from Jamaicans investing in Jamaican businesses. My focus is on improving healthcare which is in dire need of attention if Jamaica is to rise up economically. The time is now to modernize hospitals like Medical Associates Hospital which was established in 1959 by Dr. J.T Burrowes.”
Her Excellency Audrey P. Marks says, “The Embassy is pleased to partner with VMBS and KICVentures for the convening of the inaugural Jamaican Diaspora Connections Event…This event presents a useful opportunity for investors to engage with the Diaspora in the DMV area on investment opportunities in Jamaica, the place of choice to live, work, do business and raise a family…The event promises to be an engaging and entertaining one and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible next week Wednesday.”
The evening’s presentations will include, “Finding a Property in Jamaica with Victoria Mutual,” “Investment Opportunities in Jamaica’s healthcare with KICVentures and Dr. Chin, and “Meet Developers and Government Agencies from Jamaica.” The evening will also feature My Political Journey with author, the Most Honourable P.J. Patterson, ON, PC, QC, the former Prime Minister of Jamaica.
On Thursday, March 14th, sessions continue and include an on-the-spot mortgage consultation with VMBS, and a passport application and renewal opportunity with the Passport Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA). Discussions of “Land Matters with the National Land Agency” and “Real Estate Opportunities in Jamaica” will also be held. These events will be hosted at the Embassy of Jamaica (1520 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036) from 10:30 am- 4:00 pm.
